How to Play FanYield Fantasy (Complete Guide)

Published on:

FanYield is fantasy football for every fan who wants more than just watching the match. In our game, you build a lineup of 6 real players, join tournaments, and earn fantasy points based on your players’ performances.

1. Tournament Format

  • Free-for-All: the main FanYield format – everyone competes against everyone.
  • Each round (week) has its own leaderboard.
  • Rewards are distributed based on ranking (FanBux, partner prizes).
  • In the future, we also plan additional formats (e.g., 1v1 Duels).

2. Building Your Lineup

  • Number of players: 6
  • Formation: fixed (defenders, midfielders, forwards – always a set number per role)
  • No captains: all players carry the same weight, no double bonus.
  • How to get players: by opening a pack or buying them on the exchange.
  • Loans: if you’re missing players, you can borrow them for free for that tournament so you can complete your lineup.

3. Lineup Lock

  • A tournament always starts with the kick-off of the first match.
  • To be eligible for rewards, your lineup must be locked with all 6 players.
  • Until the tournament begins, you can lock and unlock your lineup as you wish.
  • If you lock your lineup after the first match has already started, you cannot unlock it again.
  • If you miss locking your lineup before the tournament starts, don’t worry. You can still lock it later during the tournament — but you won’t be able to include players whose matches have already started or finished.
  • We recommend keeping track of news, injuries, and lineups right up until the last minutes before kick-off.

4. Scoring

  • Each player earns points based on their real on-pitch performance.
  • Points are awarded not only for goals and assists but also for defensive actions, dribbles, or turnovers.
  • Thanks to this, FanYield’s unique scoring system better reflects how well a player truly performs.

    article.

5. Player Trading

  • You can buy and sell players on the exchange.
  • Prices change depending on demand from other users and players’ on-pitch performances.
  • This means that besides tournaments, you can also earn FanBux in the long run through smart transfers.
  • Trading works like a stock market: buy low, sell high.
  • We recommend setting limit orders if you want to secure a cheap buy or sell at a higher price.

6. Rewards & Prizes

  • For strong results in tournaments, you earn FanBux – our in-game currency.
  • Currently, rewards go to the top 10 lineups, and as the user base grows, we plan to expand this (we aim to keep it within the top 5–10% of teams).
  • You can use FanBux in the app to buy more players on the exchange or purchase new packs.
  • Some tournaments also feature special rewards (e.g., jerseys, vouchers).
